A Lincoln man is arrested after leading police on a short pursuit.
Lincoln Police Captain Ben Kopsa tells KLIN News that the chase began around 12:45 a.m. Thursday after an officer attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of B and Goodhue.
“The vehicle fled from the stop and the officer pursued the vehicle to the area of 20th and C, where the driver stopped the vehicle and fled on foot,” says Kopsa.
The officer caught up with the driver, but the driver refused to listen to the officers commands.
“The officer deployed his taser and the subject was taken into custody,” says Kopsa. “ The officer was uninjured in the encounter.”
34-year-old Daniel Kennedy was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and use of a vehicle to avoid arrest.
