A Petition Effort Is Underway To Delay the Proposed 14th and Old Cheney Area Roundabout

A new petition effort is underway to delay the proposed 14th and Old Cheney area roundabout.

Sensible Streets for Lincoln Committee spokesman Peter Katt says Lincoln officials put too much efforts into the large expensive “sexy” street projects like the roundabout and not enough focus into the “less sexy” neighborhood streets.

The petition effort seeks to delay the city-council-approved roundabout until completion of the South Beltway. It will need around 8,500 valid signatures to get the issue on the Spring primary election ballot.
