BREAKING: University of Nebraska Announces Two-Year Tuition Freeze

The University of Nebraska announces a two-year tuition freeze to make college more affordable for all students on all campuses.

President Ted Carter says the economic stability from COVID-19 is effecting all families.

Carter says this effective for the year beginning in 2021. The tuition freeze is for all students, all programs and all campuses.

As formally part of the Navy, President Ted Carter says he’s never seen a crisis like this before.

Carter said he didn’t offer specifics on how it will be paid, but details will be released in June. He did add that he won’t ask the legislature for more money to pay for these programs.

President Carter is scheduled to appear on KLIN’s Road to Recovery at 5:10 tonight.
