By News Jul 31, 2020 | 5:22 AM

A motorcycle crash in southeast Lincoln has left a 23-year-old man dead.

Lincoln Police tell us the collision occurred at Highway 2 and Pioneers Blvd just before 9:30 last night when a gray sedan driven by a 38-year-old attempted to turn north on Pioneers when it collided with the westbound motorcycle.

“The motorcyclist was ejected off the bike and came to a rest a few feet away,” Sargent Max Hubka says. “Witnesses administered CPR and Lincoln Fire and Rescue arrived a few minutes later and continued life saving efforts.”

Hubka says officers are investigating “whether speed by the motorcyclist was a factor and whether drug impairment by the driver of the sedan was a factor.”

The identities of both drivers haven’t been released as the investigation continues.
