Suspect Arrested In Assault, Vehicle Theft, Violating Several Harassment Orders Found Hiding In Garage

Lincoln Police were called to 22nd and E on January 10th at 10:30 p.m. to investigate the assault of a 41 year old woman.  She told police she had a harassment order against the man who came to her home and forced his way inside about an hour earlier.  The woman suffered facial injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.  She identified the suspect as 56 yea rold Randall Norman and he left her home on foot but was seen trying to flag down a ride from a passing vehicle.

At 9:45 p.m., police were called to 21st and D.  A woman reported she left her vehicle running in the driveway of a relative’s home while making a quick trip inside.  When she came out minutes later, her r 2007 black Acura MDX was missing.  The victim reported that she had left her iPhone in the vehicle and was able to track its movements.  Officer’s learned that the phone was in the area of 17th and Washington.

The victim was then contacted by an unknown man who stated that he had the victim’s phone and that the person who took her car was hiding in his garage near 17th and Sumner and found Norman hiding in the garage.   He was taken into custody and found to have a warrant for Violate Harassment Order.

Norman was arrested for Violate Harassment Order and 3rd Degree Assault to the incident on the 10th.  Norman was also wanted for several other violations of harassment order assault that occurred on November 12th, November 16th, and December 28th.  Norman was arrested for two additional Assault charges and two Violate Harassment Order charges.
